That video was sure a visual treat! It was kind of spooky, though; all that morphing made it look like the picture was alive and moving.
It's interesting how similar the faces of those earlier pictures look. I guess the image of the "ideal woman" was more or less a standard back then. It also made a strong contrast with the more modern works.
That Saudi picture...Leilouta, you still haven't lost your edge. :-) It's odd, too, considering the Q'uran only specifically mentions that a woman should cover her genitals and breasts. There's nothing about going out wearing a sack over your body, at least not that I've seen so far. I guess it's all a matter of interpretation...and which of the Haddiths you choose to follow.
I didn't notice that much difference in the women from the earliest to the most recent, actually. Except that the old guys could paint a lot better than the newer artists :O
Oh cool! A friend of mine sent me that video last weekend!
It is fantastic. So many of the faces are similar. I couldn't stop looking at their eyes, which coincidentally is the only thing visible on the Muslim woman...
Well thats Saudi Culture. But that seems a bit biased L. You said Western Women, the proper thing would have been to show the evolution of Eastern women.

Wow! That was clever. Someone spent hours and hours on that video.
A lot of the earlier women were idealized Italians that's why they looked the same.
